Day 2:  Course Development Goal:   Participants will develop a lesson plan for real estate course meeting or exceeding standards for adult education established by the Real Estate Educators Association (referred to as “GAPE”—Generally Accepted Principles of Education



The Struggle for Character

This program for real estate educators or members of Professional Standards Committees who wish to teach adults ethical decision making skills received the Real Estate Educators Association's award for Best Single Education Program in the U.S. in 1996.

This program can be offered in three to seven-hour formats.  Participants learn how to recognize the ethical maturity of their students; develop effective teaching techniques for enhancing ethical development; foster ethical development in the classroom and beyond.Thought-provoking!

The Classroom of the 21st Century

Initially presented at a Real Estate Educators Association national conference, this 1 to 3- hour program is designed to review the tumultuous changes real estate educators are facing in their classroom, particularly the age wave; the dramatic increase in minority and immigrant students; the increasing use of technology for teaching and learning. Provocative and dazzling!


      Light, Camera,Action!  How to Use Movie and TV Clips to Enhance Your Class

This 1 to 3-hour program provides a review of adult learning styles, with emphasis on visual learners and their characteristics.  The instructor shares an exciting variety of clips from movies and television and the Internet to demonstrate a variety of real estate issues and topics.  Lots of fun!  Copyright issues also discussed.
